1. Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Comfort Climate Pros (“Comfort Climate Pros,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit comfortclimatepros.com, use our pricing calculator or quote forms, call or text us, or receive heating, ventilation and air conditioning services from us.

We provide residential HVAC services in four regions: Los Angeles, California; Vancouver, Washington; Charleston, South Carolina; and Greenville, South Carolina. This policy applies to all of them.

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the site or submit your information through it.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us directly

When you use our pricing calculator, request a quote, schedule service, or contact us, we collect:

  • Contact details — your first and last name, phone number, and email address where you provide it.
  • Property information — the service address, its ZIP code, approximate square footage, and the approximate latitude and longitude derived from the address you enter.
  • Job details — the type of work you are asking about (for example replacement or repair), the type and approximate age of your system, how you would describe the problem, whether you own the property, whether you are authorized to approve work on it, and any message you write to us.
  • Consent records — whether you checked the box agreeing to be contacted, along with the date and time. We use a third-party service, ActiveProspect TrustedForm, to create a certificate documenting that consent. That certificate may include a recording of your interaction with the form.

You may choose not to provide this information, but we may not be able to give you a price estimate or schedule service without it.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, operating system, screen size, the pages you view, how long you spend on them, and how you move through the site.
  • Session activity — mouse movement, scrolling, clicks and keystrokes in form fields may be recorded as part of the analytics and session-replay tools described in Section 6.
  • Advertising identifiers — when you arrive from an ad, we record identifiers passed in the link, including Google click identifiers (gclid), Meta click identifiers (fbclid), and Meta campaign, ad set and ad identifiers, along with the referring website.

Information from other sources

  • Address lookup — when you type an address, we use a mapping and address-autocomplete service to suggest and standardize it.
  • Advertising and analytics partners — the platforms described in Section 6 may provide us with aggregated information about how our ads perform.

3. How we use your information

  • To generate a price estimate and respond to your request.
  • To contact you about your request, schedule an appointment, and perform and follow up on services.
  • To send you service updates, appointment reminders, promotions and marketing messages, subject to your consent and to the opt-out choices in Section 7.
  • To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the website and our services.
  • To measure the performance of our advertising, understand which campaigns produce enquiries, and build audiences for future advertising.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and duplicate or fraudulent submissions.
  • To keep records of consent and to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

4. Calls, texts and your consent

When you check the consent box on our forms, you agree that Comfort Climate Pros and the service partners identified at the point of collection may contact you at the phone number you provided — including by automatic telephone dialing system, prerecorded or artificial voice, SMS text message and email — about your enquiry and about our products and services.

Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can still request service without agreeing to automated contact by calling us directly at (213) 874-1242.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. To stop text messages, reply STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP. To stop calls or be added to our internal do-not-call list, email [email protected] or call the number above.

Calls to or from us may be monitored or recorded for quality and training purposes. Where the law requires it, we will tell you at the start of the call.

5. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share it in the following ways, and some of that sharing counts as a “sale” or “sharing” under California law — see Section 8.

  • Service partners and contractors. To provide an estimate or perform work, we may pass your name, phone number, email, service address and job details to licensed HVAC contractors and service partners in your region. Those partners may then contact you directly and use your information under their own privacy policies.
  • Vendors that run our systems. Website hosting, form and lead processing, call handling, scheduling, customer relationship management, consent certification (ActiveProspect TrustedForm), email delivery and payment processing. These vendors may use your information only to perform services for us.
  • Advertising and analytics platforms. Google and Meta, as described in Section 6. This may include sharing a hashed version of your email address or phone number so those platforms can measure conversions and build advertising audiences.
  • Legal and safety. Where we believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena or legal process, or is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of Comfort Climate Pros, our customers or others.
  • Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6. Cookies, analytics and session recording

We and our partners use cookies, pixels, tags and similar technologies. The tools currently in use on this site are:

Google Ads conversion trackingGoogleAttributes enquiries and bookings to the ads that produced them.
Meta PixelMeta PlatformsMeasures ad performance and builds advertising audiences.
Microsoft ClarityMicrosoftRecords how visitors interact with pages, including mouse movement, scrolling, clicks and session replay.

Some of these tools record your interaction with pages, including a replay of your session. We ask our providers to mask input in sensitive fields, but you should avoid typing information into our forms that you do not want recorded.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may stop parts of the site working. You can also opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on, and adjust ad personalization in your Google and Meta account settings.

Our site does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals. We do honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of sale and sharing where the law requires it.

7. Your choices

  • Texts — reply STOP to any message.
  • Marketing email — use the unsubscribe link in the message.
  • Calls — ask to be added to our internal do-not-call list using the contact details in Section 13.
  • Cookies and tracking — use your browser settings and the platform controls described in Section 6.
  • Access, correction and deletion — contact us using Section 13. We honor these requests from all customers, not only those in states with privacy laws.

Even if you opt out of marketing, we may still contact you about work in progress, appointments, warranty matters and billing.

8. California privacy rights

This section applies to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you, and we do not use or disclose it beyond the purposes permitted without an option to limit.

Sale and sharing

We do not sell personal information for money. However, passing your enquiry to service partners who may market their own services to you, and sharing identifiers with advertising platforms for cross-context behavioral advertising, are treated as a “sale” and “sharing” under California law. The categories involved are identifiers, commercial information, internet activity, geolocation and inferences. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

To opt out, email [email protected] with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information,” or call (213) 874-1242. You may also enable a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser.

  • Know what personal information we have collected, used, disclosed and sold or shared.
  • Delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of sale and sharing, as described above.
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information.
  • Non-discrimination — we will not deny service, charge a different price or provide a lower quality of service because you exercised a right.

To exercise a right, contact us using Section 13. We will verify your request by matching the information you give us against what we hold, and may ask for additional information. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission, and we may ask you to verify your identity directly.

9. How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected: for the life of the customer relationship and afterwards as needed for warranty, tax, accounting, dispute and legal-compliance reasons. Consent records and TrustedForm certificates are kept for at least the period covered by the applicable statute of limitations for telephone-consumer claims. Analytics data is kept according to each platform's retention settings.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption of the site in transit and limiting access to those who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
